In PowerCenter 9.x, you can connect to Informix using the DataDirect ODBC driver or the IBM Informix ODBC driver. The DataDirect ODBC driver has the following limitations: • Limited driver availability for 64-bit operating systems. • Degraded bulk read and write performance when compared to native connectivity. Any tool that needs to connect to the Connection 2.1(1) or later database needs the IBM Informix drivers installed to be able to connect. Each tool that needs it will link to this page and their respective setups will check to see if these drivers are installed first before proceeding.
