I recently purchased the Targus docking station for the Surface Pro. After making sure I had the correct drivers, I installed it. I was happy with the end result. Extra Monitors, keyboards, external Hard drives, etc worked fine.

Everything appeared to work on until I tried the Netflix app. Netflix or Hulu won't lay. Returns a message indicating a driver update through Windows Update is required. Of course, there is none. Called Netflix and they do not recommend the use of the Windows 8 Netflix app at all.

I could probably live with this. However. I did a reset and I found Reset and Refresh did not work. Both returned an error in a blueish screen...NOT a Blue screen. The Surface rebooted and worked normal. It simply will no longer reset. This I can't live it.

I chatted Surface support and they wanted the device back for a reflash. But I had a thought....this was not a Blue Screen....this was simply a message screen. I was thinking the issue was with the system partition and not the recovery partition. Gut feel maybe. After trying a couple of things, I was able to get Reset to work through the Advanced Startup screen. I completed the reset...and then tried the Reset in settings to see if the option was available. Of course it was.

I tried the Targus driver again, and sure enough, Netflix/Hulu won't work, and neither will Reset/Refresh. Again, Advanced Startup was the answer.

I know that Microsoft issues this docking station for their internal people to use. So it must have some merits. Any one get this to work without messing up the Reset/Refresh option?
